Drees & Sommer Luxembourg, a consulting and project management company in the fields of real estate, infrastructure and industry, recently announced a change in its management.
As part of a generational change, a modified Management Committee will lead the company from 1 July 2024.
During the past ten years, three managing directors have headed Drees & Sommer Luxembourg: Maximilien Ast, Heiko Butter and Lothar Diederich. On Thursday 4 July 2024, the Luxembourg branch has more than 110 employees and offers an extremely diverse portfolio of services.
To ensure the generational change of the company in good time, Heiko Butter and Lothar Diederich ended their positions as managing directors of the Luxembourg office on 30 June. The two partners are taking on new responsibilities within the group, Drees & Sommer Luxembourg noted. Heiko Butter is the overall project manager for the Terminal 3 major project at Frankfurt Airport, a flagship project of the Drees & Sommer Group. Lothar Diederich will take on new responsibilities in the Integrated Design sector across the Group and will focus his advice on data centre planning. In this role, he will reportedly continue to be present at the Luxembourg site.
Maximilien Ast will continue to guide the strategic direction of the company as managing director and associate partner. His long-term management and the strong development of the Luxembourg site are the constants within the new Management Committee. Succeeding Heiko Butter and Lothar Diederich, the company will now be managed by a new team formed on 1 July by Dirk Arweiler, Tim Wottge and Christian Zanter, all of whom have worked at Drees & Sommer for many years. As a member of the management team, Dirk Arweiler has so far overseen the Infrastructure and Site Management sectors. With sixteen years of experience within the company, as well as in previous positions, he brings solid expertise in Finance and Controlling. This expertise will help to keep the company on the path to success. Tim Wottge, who joined the company ten years ago, is currently Head of the Healthcare sector in Luxembourg. His in-depth knowledge of project management and the Lean philosophy makes him a key driver for the development of the Drees & Sommer digital processes, the company added. Christian Zanter, who has been with Drees & Sommer Luxembourg for eleven years, currently heads the Residential and Urban Development sector. His expertise in the field of housing and real estate will enable him to continue the development of this sector on the site while ensuring close monitoring of public portfolios, according to the company.
