On Tuesday 25 October 2022, Luxembourg employment agency ADEM held its first "Jobday" dedicated to young graduates under the age of 30 registered with ADEM; the event took place in the framework of the European Year of Youth.
A total of 24 companies looking for new recruits from the finance, IT and industry sectors took part in this event at the Cloche d'Or shopping centre. The purpose of this initiative was to promote direct and informal exchanges between jobseekers and recruiters.
This job day was reserved for more than 350 candidates with a qualification of at least Bac+2 and selected by ADEM services in order to match the job offers of the 24 companies present.
The candidates had the opportunity to present their application directly to the participating employers with a view to possible hiring. Hundreds of job interviews have been conducted, according to ADEM.
Since the beginning of 2022, ADEM has (co-)organised 21 job days. Some are dedicated solely to jobseekers registered with ADEM and target specific sectors; others are open to anyone looking for a new job.
