DURY CONSULT, a consulting company belonging to Germany's DURY group, has announced the addition of two data protection experts to its team to strengthen cross-border consultancy between Saarbrücken and Luxembourg.

From April 2021, Sonja Hild and Andreas Crauser, two recognised experts in the field of data protection and information security, will join DURY CONSULT. Both have versatile experience in the sector and have worked at the international scale in their previous roles. Their focus will be on Germany, Luxembourg and the Greater Region.

Sonja Hild's previous professional experience includes the retail, automotive and electrical engineering industries. A business administration graduate and translator, she first worked in sales and logistics as well as in human resources (HR) before becoming data protection officer for a medium-sized company active worldwide ten years ago. The 51-year-old spent most of her childhood in Belgium and thus is well acquainted with the Benelux. She will devote herself, among other things, to the further expansion of DURY CONSULT's activities in Luxembourg and in the Greater Region.

Andreas Crauser comes from a leading online portal in the HR industry, where he worked as an Information Security Officer and Data Protection Coordinator. The 49-year-old computer science graduate's subsequent experience includes managerial positions in several software companies. He is familiar with many environments in the private sector as well as in the field of public administration. Consequently, he brings a deep understanding of the information security needs of DURY CONSULT clients, in addition to his in-depth technical knowledge. Mr Crauser will build on the principles of DURY CONSULT to advise clients on a peer-to-peer basis.

DURY CONSULT decided to expand its team in response to an increasing demand for its specific consultancy services in recent months. Sandra Dury, Managing Director, explained:  “For many companies, data protection or information security have become central topics with the coronavirus crisis, overnight, so to speak. This is mainly because the COVID-19 has made teleworking widespread. This is a reality that will stay with us in the post-COVID period, and we want to be a competent and reliable partner alongside our customers from different sectors and regions".
