The ADEM employment agency has announced the launch of its “Youth eAcademy” programme which aims to strengthen the digital skills of young jobseekers in Luxembourg.

The importance of digital skills in the labour market is growing and is expected to continue to grow in the future. Mastery of these skills is therefore necessary when looking for a job. This applies to all industries and all businesses.

The Youth eAcademy offers young jobseekers registered with ADEM the opportunity to independently strengthen the skills that interest and seem useful to them for the realisation of their professional project.

ADEM thus gives these young people (under 30) free access to the “Belearn” e-learning platform. On this platform, candidates have the choice of taking digital training in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, OneNote, etc., or broadening their knowledge on topics such as the Cloud, data analysis, programming and cybersecurity. These courses are available in French, English, German, Dutch and Spanish.

Access to the platform is based on several criteria: candidates must be registered with ADEM and be under the age of 30 at the time of registration; they must have at least a secondary school diploma (equivalent to BAC); and be able to follow e-learning training (computer and internet access, basic digital skills) independently (i.e.without supervision).

For each course completed, candidates receive an official certificate by email.

A section dedicated to this new training programme is available on the ADEM job portal: www.adem.lu/belearn.
