The Luxembourgish private radio station Eldoradio has announced the appointment of Tony Ewen as its new director, effective 15 May 2021.
Eldoradio is reorganising itself in an effort to strengthen its position as a leading radio station targeting 15 to 34 year olds and is launching a new stage in its development towards a 360 degree brand for young people working in Luxembourg.
In recent months, intensive work has been carried out to develop a future project for the ELDO brand. Besides radio and current digital products, the brand will become active in many new areas.
To implement this new project, Tony Ewen will take over as the new Director of Eldoradio from 15 May 2021. With a degree in business management economics, Tony Ewen has acquired experience over the past few years in the fields of management and leadership, including mass distribution, insurance and banking.
The arrival of Tony Ewen is part of a series of changes at Eldoradio. At the beginning of March 2021, a new morning event was launched with host Charel Dormans and a new programme manager was appointed in the person of Christian Stelmes.
“With Tony Ewen we found the ideal person to further develop the successful ELDO project. He has known the brand and its strengths for a long time and he will guide the team in this new phase with a lot of dynamism and enthusiasm”, explained David Gloesener, current Director of ELDO, who will assume the role of Audio Director of RTL Luxembourg from May.
