Luxembourg's Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social and Solidarity Economy, together with the Ministry of Economy, have reminded businesses affected by the new COVID-19 restrictions introduced on 26 December that they can apply for financial support.

Following the entry into force of new restrictions on 26 December to fight the COVID-19 pandemic (up to 10 January 2021), businesses affected by the ban on the retail sale of non-essential products and merchandise or by the ban on beauty or treatment services may submit requests to benefit from the partial unemployment scheme for the months of December 2020 and January 2021.

Requests may be submitted to the Conjuncture Committee up tp 30 December 2020 inclusive. This deadline also applies to companies and establishments whose activities are already impacted by the “anti-COVID” measures in force since 15 November and which have not yet submitted a request for partial unemployment for the month of January 2021.

All applications for partial unemployment are to be made exclusively via the MyGuichet.lu platform.
