BGL BNP Paribas has announced the appointment of Béatrice Belorgey as President of the bank's Executive Committee and Group Country Manager in Luxembourg.

At its meeting on Thursday 9 July 2020, the Board of Directors of BGL BNP Paribas appointed Béatrice Belorgey as Chairwoman of the bank’s Executive Committee. She also joined the bank's Board of Directors as a director and was appointed Country Manager of the BNP Paribas Group in Luxembourg.

Béatrice Belorgey succeeds Geoffroy Bazin who, to give a new orientation to his career, decided to resign from his functions as Chairman of the Executive Committee of BGL BNP Paribas, administrator of BGL BNP Paribas and Country Manager of BNP Paribas Group in Luxembourg. This appointment is subject to the approval of national and European regulatory authorities.

Béatrice Belorgey, a graduate of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris and financial analyst (CEFA), began her career at BNP Paribas in 1986 as a credit analyst in Retail Banking in France. In 1989, she joined Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) within the Fixed Income and then Corporate Finance teams. In 2000, she joined the Wealth Management profession as head of the supply of financial products and the Advisory Desk of private banking in Luxembourg. In 2005, she became responsible for Group Financial Information, before taking responsibility in 2009 for Investor Relations & Group Financial Information. Since 2013, Béatrice Belorgey had been Director of BNP Paribas Banque Privée France.
