As Luc Verbeken prepares to hand over the role of CEO of ING Luxembourg to Colette Dierick in mid-July, the bank held a special evening on Tuesday 21 June 2016 during which Mr. Verbeken looked back on his three-year tenure and introduced the new head of the bank.
Actors from the economic and financial world, ambassadors, members of the Bank Management Committee and Rik Vandenberghe, Chairman of the Board of Directors at ING Luxembourg, gathered at Cercle Cité to hear Luc Verbeken speak, before he joins ING Belgium to become Head of Transformation Office for ING BeLux.
There, he will take up the responsibility of accelerating the implementation of the strategy at ING Belgium, reporting directly to Rik Vandenberghe. He will be a permanent guest of the Bank's Executive Committee.
His successor, Colette Dierick, will officially take the reins of ING Luxembourg on 15 July 2016, subject to final approval by regulators ECB and CSSF.
Colette Dierick has gained nearly 32 years' experience at ING Belgium, where she has held several positions in Retail banking, Midcorps and Operations. In January 2011, she took up her current role as Head of Retail and Private Banking within the Executive Committee of ING Belgium. She has been a member of the ING Luxembourg Board of Directors since 2010, allowing her to gain an in-depth understanding of banking as well as financial markets and their shifts.
