After announcing the appointment of Silke Bernard as partner last week, Linklaters LLP Luxembourg today revealed that the position of National Managing Partner has been assigned to Patrick Geortay.

Patrick Geortay is currently a partner in the Capital Markets and Banking department and will act as National Managing Partner for a four-year term from 1 May 2016. Having previously held that position from 2007 to 2010, he will now be succeeding Freddy Bausch who will be focusing exclusively on case management for clients within the investment fund division and will continue to represent the firm in various advisory boards and professional associations instead.

Mr. Geortay has been a partner at the firm since 2001, enabling him to gain extensive knowledge of the firm and its clients. To prepare for his transition to his new post, Patrick Geortay and Freddy Brausch worked closely together for the last twelve months.

Mr. Geortay head the Capital Markets and Banking Law department and occupies a leading tole in the coordination of the firm's real estate offer. Linklaters claimed that his qualities and understanding of the market have established him as the ideal person to lead the next stage of development where innovation and efficiency will be emphasised.
