On Thursday 4 June 2026, FEDIL Employment Services (FES), a sectoral association under the umbrella of FEDIL gathering companies in the temporary employment sector, announced it had been awarded the WEC Award for Leadership in Social Innovation 2026 by the World Employment Confederation (WEC), in recognition of its commitment to creating innovative and inclusive pathways into employment.
FES said the award highlighted a series of initiatives it developed in 2025 to support different groups facing barriers to the labour market, including young jobseekers, displaced Ukrainian nationals and university students.
Through projects such as the JobDays organised with ADEM, the EmpowerToEmploy initiative for Ukrainian refugees, and a dedicated student recruitment event with the University of Luxembourg, FES said it had brought together employers, public institutions and educational partners around a common objective: facilitating access to employment through practical and human-centred solutions.
According to the WEC, these initiatives contributed to reducing barriers to employment, changing perceptions around temporary work and delivering measurable employment outcomes.
“We are truly honoured to receive the WEC Award for Leadership in Social Innovation,” said FEDIL Employment Services. “This recognition reflects a collective effort to bring people closer to employment through simple, concrete and human-centred initiatives. We would like to thank all our members and partners who made this possible.”
FES said the award confirmed the role of FEDIL Employment Services as a key actor in promoting inclusive employment solutions and social innovation in Luxembourg.
