Luxembourg's Ministry of Digitalisation has announced that the first National Digital Inclusion Day will take place in Luxembourg on Tuesday 17 may 2022.

This will be part of World Telecommunications and Information Society Day and materialises one of the initiatives of the National Action Plan for Digital Inclusion, drawn up by the Ministry of Digitalisation jointly with a group dedicated interdepartmental working group.

Organised by the Ministry of Digitalisation, the National Day of Digital Inclusion is dedicated to increasing the visibility of actors and initiatives working in favor of digital inclusion in Luxembourg.

Initiation workshops with the Erwuessebildung asbl

In the context of the National Day, introductory workshops on the use of tablets will be offered by the non-profit organisation Erwuessebildung ASBL to seniors wishing to learn more about new technologies. These workshops will take place on 17 May in Diekirch and Grevenmacher and on 19 May in Esch-sur-Alzette. Further information on this subject is available onlive via: www.ewb.lu.

Co-creative workshops at the GovTech Lab

On 17 May, the non-profit organisation GERO ASBL will also offer its members the opportunity to participate in two co-creative workshops for seniors which will be organised by the Government IT Centre (CTIE) in the premises of the GovTech Lab.

The workshops will focus on online public services, including in particular the transactional platform MyGuichet.lu. There will be an opportunity for the Guichet.lu and MyGuichet.lu teams to discuss with the participants who will be able to share their feedback.

“Digital Inclusion 2022” Prize

The key event of the day will take the form of an official ceremony in the presence of H.R.H. the Grand Duke and Luxembourg's Minister Delegate for Digitalisation, Marc Hansen. During this ceremony, the winners of the call for projects for digital inclusion in the Grand Duchy for the year 2022 will be announced. The "Digital Inclusion 2022" Prize will then be awarded to the winners following the presentation of their respective projects.
