On Tuesday 8 February 2022, Luxembourg's Minister Delegate for Digitalisation, Marc Hansen, presented four new projects from the Ministry of Digitalisation which fall within the areas of administrative simplification, digital inclusion or the continuous development of eGovernance.
"Simplify together" (Zesumme Vereinfachen!) participatory platform
For the digitilisation of state services to bring increased added value to users, it must go hand in hand with administrative simplification and the adaptation of procedures. To achieve this objective, the Ministry of Digitalilisation aims to rely on the experience of citizens to simplify the procedures in a participatory manner.
To this end, the Ministry now offers everyone the opportunity to get directly involved in this process by providing them with a platform dedicated to participatory administrative simplification www.zesumme-vereinfachen.lu.
The platform, provided by CitizenLab and available in four languages, offers citizens the opportunity to follow ongoing projects step by step, to submit ideas or proposals for administrative simplifications or to complete proposals for other users. It also allows to participate in surveys, vote for proposals and prioritise initiatives or even register for digital or face-to-face participatory workshops.
Two projects are already available on the platform. One devoted to procedures for the Guichet.lu and MyGuichet.lu sites and the other dedicated to the MyGuichet.lu app. To this end, a direct link has been added to all Guichet.lu pages to guide interested persons to the participatory platform.
GouvID mobile application
The new GouvID app, developed by the Government IT Centre (Centre des technologies de l'information de l'État - CTIE), offers citizens the possibility of using their electronic identity card (eID) in conjunction with their smartphone to authenticate themselves with different digital state services. This app will therefore make it possible to work without a specific eID reader.
A prerequisite must be met to benefit from GouvID, that is citizens must have activated the Luxtrust certificates on his identity card from the municipal administration or the CTIE.
The GouvID app is available on Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Detailed information and video tutorials are available at www.gouvid.lu.
The “Luxembourg Pavilion Dubai 2020” mobile application
The "Luxembourg Pavilion Dubai 2020" mobile application offers the public a virtual tour of the Luxembourg Pavilion at Expo Dubai without having to travel.
The app presents an adaptation of the film in virtual reality, made available to the general public during the tour of the ministry's stand across the country.
The application is available for smartphone and tablet in Luxembourgish, French and English and can be downloaded from Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
"Digital Together" (Digital Zesummen) portal
Finally, Minister Hansen announced the online portal dedicated to digital inclusion www.zesummendigital.lu. This is one of the first initiatives of the National Digital Inclusion Action Plan implemented by the Ministry of Digitalisation.
Internet users benefit from an overview of governmental and non-governmental actors working in the field of digital inclusion and their actions in the field on this thematic portal dedicated to digital inclusion. Filters allow a targeted search of actions by canton, type of action, language and target audience. A toolbox offers useful links to publications, practical guides, thematic sheets, videos or tutorials available online.
The portal is available in French and German. Luxembourgish and English versions are in preparation. The contents will be supplemented and updated continuously by the Ministry of Digitalisation in order to offer a complete view of the subject.
