ITbyCloud and Ziggu have been named as the winners of this year's Luxembourg Cloud Awards.

At the ITnation Golden-i Gala held on Thursday 16 May 2019, the Luxembourg Cloud Awards 2019 were presented to some 500 professionals in the ICT sector. On this occasion, the winners were unveiled

This year, Cloud Community Europe Luxembourg broke new ground by opening two new categories for applications: the Cloud Innovation Project of the Year and the Tech Cloud Innovator of the Year. In the first category, three projects distinguished themselves with the jury. These were EBRC, for the DHL myID project, ITbyCloud, for YoY® honest food, educated consumers, strong brands, and POST Luxembourg, for the digital transformation project of SIGI (Syndicat Intercommunal de Gestion Informatique). Nevertheless, it was ITbyCloud which won in this category.

"The YoY® honest food, educated consumers and strong brands project stands out for its adaptability to markets other than food and its sustainability. The platform makes it possible to improve the user experience and to follow the entire production chain, from the origin of the product to its sale, which in our current society is at the heart of consumers' concerns" , commented Jean-Paul Hengen, President of the jury of this edition.

For the "Cloud Tech Innovator of the Year" category, the jury selected the following three start-up nominees: Next Gate Tech, Fintech active in the field of fund industry, OnePrivacy, offering the Keexle end-to-end encrypted communication and collaboration platform, and Ziggu, active in the field of real estate. The latter took home the prize.

Jean-Paul Hengen stated:  "Ziggu already has a certain maturity on the market and has managed in a short time to attract big customers like BesixRed, who chose them, especially for the robustness of the application. This platform can also be used regardless of the geographical area targeted".

The members of the jury were: Jean-Paul Hengen, Luxinnovation; Marina Andrieu, WIDE; Diego De Biasio, Technoport; François Drazdik, Alfi; Eric Dubois, LIST; Eric Krier, Media and Communications Service, Department of State; François Légaré, House of Startups; Alain Rodermann, Expon Capital; Georges Santer, FEDIL.
