Mobile development company, XABLU, invites the local developer community to take part in Google I/O Extended 2017 at The Office on 17 May.

Taking place during Google I/O, the annual festival where Google presents its latest innovations and products, the local I/O Extended event will feature a live screening of the keynote presentation, followed by a discussion on the future of mobile development and the Microsoft ecosystem, led by Xamarin and Microsoft MVP Martijn van Dijk.

Starting at 18:00, the free event will offer pizza and drinks, with the live screening of the Google I/O keynote beginning at 19:00. After the keynote, attendees will be invited to contribute their thoughts and personal experiences to the group discussion, which will reflect on the news and announcements from Google I/O in the context of mobile app development.

I/O Extended is a network of events organised around the world by local developer communities, with the aim of extending the experience of the Google I/O festival internationally. In 2016, over 600 I/O Extended events were held.

The XABLU team said that they are looking forward to hosting this year’s Luxembourg edition at The Office. “We love bringing together fellow mobile developers through community events, and regularly organise meet-ups and hackathons across the Netherlands,” said Martijn van Dijk, Xamarin developer at XABLU.

“With our second Luxembourg event, we’re looking forward to further building up the local community and enabling new connections and knowledge sharing.”
