The Union Luxembourgeoise de Patinage de Vitesse (ULPV) has reported that two skaters from Luxembourg have secured "promising" results in recent competitions abroad.
Sidoine Conesa secured third place in the 500m at the French National League Trophée 3 Poule 2 Orleans and fourth overall in the Regional League Beneluxcup 4 Deurne in Belgium. She came 33rd overall in the 500m at Starclass 2 CD in Nijmegen (Netherlands), with a time of 48.487. She also came first in the Benelux Cup together with Junior C.
Fellow Luxembourg skater Peter Murphy came 30th in the 1500m, 33rd in the 1000m and 32nd in the 500m at the ISU European Championships in Gdansk (Poland). He also placed 25th in the 1000m (1) and 38th in the 1000m (2) at the ISU World Cup 5 in Dresden (Germany).
Normal training will continue during the holiday period.
The next competitions in which Luxembourg skaters will compete are the ISU World Cup 6 and ISU World Junior Championships in Gdansk, Poland.
