Deloitte today announced the acquisition of the business and assets of Kaisen Consulting Limited, a UK- and US-based boutique leadership consultancy of business psychologists.
Kaisen will now operate under the name 'Deloitte Leadership' in a move that forms part of Deloitte's aim to expand leadership business globally.
Deloitte Leadership will offer a full range of leadership services to its global client base, including leadership strategy, in-depth psychological profiling and other assessment tools, and leadership and management development. Using more than 20,000 in-person leader psychological assessments, the new business will draw on the research to identify the capabilities needed by leaders.
Deloitte found in its 'Global Human Capital Trends 2015' report that 86% of business and HR executives perceived leadership as an 'urgent' or 'extremely urgent' issue, although only 13% of leaders believed themselves to be performing an excellent job developing leaders at all levels.
"This transaction is a major milestone for the Deloitte Human Capital practice, as it will allow us to offer tailor-made services to clients that seek to strengthen their leadership capabilities," explains Basil Sommerfeld, Partner and Operations & Human Capital Leader at Deloitte Luxembourg. "Today’s leadership development market is very fragmented and characterized by different services aimed at particular areas, such as coaching. There is a clear need for a provider that can deliver an all-encompassing, holistic solution."
The aim of the assimilation was cited by the company as to bring together Deloitte's current leadership consulting practice and experience with Kaisen's market-leading assessment methodology, intellectual property and tools.
The transaction was made under Deloitte UK, but will provide services across Deloitte's network of member firms.
