On Tuesday 30 June 2026, the Luxembourg Football Federation (FLF) announced the calendar for the 2026/27 domestic football season, confirming the key dates for the BGL Ligue, Promotion d'Honneur and Dames Ligue 1 championships.
The new BGL Ligue season will kick off on Sunday 2 August 2026, while the Promotion d'Honneur campaign will begin two weeks later, on Sunday 16 August 2026. The opening round of the Dames Ligue 1 is scheduled for Saturday 12 September 2026.
The 2026/27 BGL Ligue will once again feature sixteen clubs. Newly promoted US Rumelange, Etzella Ettelbruck, FC Wiltz 71 and Résidence Walferdange replace the four teams relegated at the end of last season.
Current champions Atert Bissen will open their title defence away to F91 Dudelange on the opening weekend, while runners-up FC Differdange 03 will begin the new campaign with an away fixture against US Mondorf-les-Bains.
According to the calendar, the final round before the winter break will take place on Sunday 6 December 2026, with the championship resuming on Sunday 7 February 2027. The last round of the regular season is scheduled for Sunday 23 May 2027.
