On Thursday 12 February 2026, Luxembourg’s national football team learned its potential group opponents for the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League following the draw ceremony in Brussels.
Jeff Strasser’s team will remain in League C if they defeat Malta in the play-offs scheduled for 26 and 30 March 2026. In that case, Luxembourg would compete in Group C4 alongside Iceland, Bulgaria and Estonia.
In the event of relegation to League D, Luxembourg would instead feature in Group D1, where they would face Andorra and the loser of the play-off between Gibraltar and Latvia.
The league phase of the 2026/27 UEFA Nations League is scheduled to take place between September and November 2026.
In the previous UEFA Nations League campaign 2024/25, Luxembourg finished fourth in their League C group, which also featured Northern Ireland, Bulgaria and Belarus. The Red Lions collected three points from six matches, recording three draws and three defeats.
