Following last Saturday's 4-0 home win over Moldova in their opening match of the new UEFA Nations League, Luxembourg scored a 3-0 away win against San Marino yesterday evening to remain unbeaten at the top of Group D2.

On Saturday, it was Kevin Malget (34), Olivier Thill (60), Danel Sinani (75) and Christopher Martins (83) who secured Luxembourg's record home win. and yesterday evening, Maxime chanot (9), Aurélien Joachim (45+1) and Danel Sinani (52) who got the goals.

While the new competition - put in place to counteract the growing challenge of "friendly matches" - may be complex to many in how it operates, Luxembourg for one is enjoying life at the top, albeit in their small group.

San Marino had lost their opening game 5-0 to Belarus. The other game in the second set of matches saw Moldova and Belarus grind out a 0-0 draw, to leave Luxembourg top of the group and with a gaol difference of +7.
