The 22nd edition of the Zeltik Festival will present an energetic mix of traditional and more modern Celtic musical talent next Saturday 9 March 2019 at the LNBD (Lycée Nic Biever) Annexe Alliance sports centre in Dudelange.

The only festival dedicated to Celtic music in the Greater Region, the Zeltik Festival has built quite a name for itself among music lovers over the past two decades. As always, the festival will bring together both local artists, such as the ever-popular Luxembourg Pipe Band, and international stars like this year's headliner, the renowned Galician bagpiper Carlos Núñez.

From the more traditional Breton folk music of An Erminig and the Irish Indie Folk of Dublin-born singer-songwriter Shane Ó Fearghail to Irish quintet Cúig's progressive twist on the traditional and the energetic, alternative Celtic groove-pop of Swiss band Pigeons on the Gate, the 22nd Zeltik Festival promises a mix of Celtic music genres that are sure to appeal to a wide audience. Such diversity is what makes this festival so unique: Zeltik is where traditional meets new, younger ideas.

This year's festival will begin earlier than in previous years, at 16:30, thus allowing the fun to begin even sooner!

The venue offers some 300 seats and catering, as well as parking, will be available.

Tickets cost €20 if bought in advance (pre-sale) or €25 at the door. These are available from www.luxembourg-ticket.lu and other outlets.

The concert event will be preceded by the traditional "Celtic Recital" organ recital at St Martin's Church on Friday evening at 20:15. This will feature performances by Carlos Núñez, Xurxo Núñez, Pancho Álvarez and Laurent Felten.
