Thriller; 95 mins; 12+

Will Spann (Gerard Butler) is driving his wife Lisa (Jaimie Alexander) to her parents' home in Manchester, New Hampshire; he is a successful property developer but she has been unhappy and wants to have a break of a couple of weeks. They stop at a filling station and while he fills up the car she goes into the shop to use the bathroom and get some water. However, she never comes out and disappears into seemingly thin air.

Initially worried and subsequently becoming more and more distraught, Will searches for her in vain and becomes frantic. He eventually calls the police and a detective (Russell Hornsby) is sent out to the scene. He treats it professionally but deep down he believes that the couple have had an argument and she has gone off by herself; after all, her parents' home is only fifteen minutes away.

The shop attendant tells them that the CCTV is not working, so the detective returns to his station. Will drives to Lisa's parents but they have not seen Lisa at all. Upon returning to the filling station, he realises that the CCTV is, in fact, working: he takes the hard drive to the police and they see Lisa emerging from the filling station and then being approached by a man... Lisa's parents identify him as Knuckles (Aleks Alifirenko Jr) who has been doing some odd jobs for them.

From then on, Will and the police diverge and go off on different paths: Will is determined to find his wife who he feels is in terrible danger, particularly as she left her bag and laptop in the car, while the police suspect that Will has something to do with Lisa going missing, primarily as Will admitted that Lisa had had an affair.

The trail leads them to come up against the town's criminal underbelly, by way of an illegal drugs manufacturing plant deep in the forest. That is when the bad dream starts to become a nightmare...

While the storyline is interesting, and the shooting locations are genuine, making it look and feel utterly realistic, the main plot is one-dimensional without any major twists. The characters are similar in that they rarely change or evolve, except when the detective interrogates Knuckles in the car. However, it is fun to watch and escape into for 90 minutes.
