Film Fund Luxembourg has announced that three Luxembourg co-productions recently received six nominations for Belgium's Magritte Awards.

The 12th "Magritte du Cinéma" Belgian cinema awards ceremony, presented by the Académie André Delvaux, will take place on Saturday 4 March 2023 at the Théâtre National Wallonie-Bruxelles.

The following Luxembourg co-productions have been nominated in various categories this year:

Magritte Award for Best Flemish Film: Rebel, co-produced by Jesus Gonzalez (Calach Films) and directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah

Magritte Award for Best Foreign Film in Coproduction: Where is Anne Frank, co-produced by Jani Thiltges (Samsa Film) and directed by Ari Folman

Magritte Award for Best Actress: Lubna Azabal in Rebel

Magritte Award for Best Actor: Jérémie Renier in L'Ennemi, co-produced by David Grumbach (Bac Cinéma) and directed by Stephan Streker; Aboubakr Bensaihi in Rebel

Magritte Award for Best Original Score: Hannes De Maeyer, Oum, Aboubakr Bensaihi for Rebel

Luxembourg's film industry has secured a total of 84 Magritte Awards nominations (including the 2023 ones) and has won 22 such awards since 2011.
