On Wednesday 23 April 2025, Viktoria Productions announced that Love Me Tender, starring Luxembourgish-German actress, Vicky Krieps, was selected as part of the Official Selection “Un Certain Regard” at the 78th Cannes Film Festival.

The Cannes Film Festival is set to take place from Tuesday 13 to Saturday 24 May 2025.

Love Me Tender is the first production by Viktoria Productions, founded in 2022 by Luxembourg-based Vicky Krieps. The film’s director is French filmmaker Anna Cazenave Cambet.

Adapted from the novel of the same name by Constance Debré, Love Me Tender tells the story of Clémence, whose life is turned upside down when her ex-husband files to strip her of custody of their son, after she reveals she has had relationships with women. This leads to her long struggle to remain a mother, a woman and free.

The cast includes Monia Chokri, Antoine Reinartz and Clotilde Courau, as well as Vicky Krieps. This is Anna Cazenave Cambet's second feature film, after Gold for Bears, presented at Critics' Week in 2020.

Love Me Tender is co-produced by Viktoria Productions and produced by Novoprod Cinema (France), with the participation of France 2. Tandem will handle distribution in France and Be For Films will handle international sales.
