The 13th "hybrid" edition of Luxembourg's CinEast Central and Eastern European Film Festival, which took place from 8 to 25 October 2020, attracted more than 6,450 participants.

The CinEast organisers confirmed that the “physical” part of this year's festival, which ended on 25 October 2020, drew in 3,150 spectators. This part featured more than 110 screenings in a dozen cinemas in the Grand Duchy. The "online" part, which ended on 8 November 2020, counted more than 2,700 views. In all, more than 5,850 spectators watched the films of this 13th edition. In addition, more than 600 people took part in the special events of the festival and several hundred people visited the free “Planting the Future” photography exhibition in Neumünster Abbey (neimënster).

The festival's two websites (the official website www.cineast.lu and the CinEast Online Cinema and online ticket purchase platform cineast.eventive.org) received more than 40,000 visits.

The festival presented 47 feature films and around 20 short films from 21 countries of the former communist bloc.

In addition, the contributions of festival-goers raised over €2,600 for an association helping underprivileged children in Belgrade, Serbia. This project will continue with the sale of photos from the “Planting the Future” exhibition.
