Local socio-cultural company COOPERATIONS has announced that the next edition of the Nuits des Lampions will take place at the Jardin de Wiltz on Saturday 19 September 2026.

The event will run from 17:00 and is expected to once again transform the park into an open-air cultural venue through light installations, artistic performances and street entertainment.

According to the organisers, visitors will be able to explore the illuminated Jardin de Wiltz and surrounding area, with hundreds of handcrafted lanterns and light installations extending from the garden to Place des Martyrs. The programme will also include street arts, musical performances and a range of family-friendly activities.

COOPERATIONS noted that sustainability remains a key element of the event. The lanterns and light installations are designed and produced by the organisation's creative design studio and are reused, repaired and further developed over many years.

First held in 2007, the Nuits des Lampions has grown into one of Luxembourg's major cultural events, attracting thousands of visitors to Wiltz. Following organisers' decision to move the festival to a biennial format, the 2026 edition marks its return after a one-year break. The event combines artistic creation, social engagement and sustainability in an open-air setting.

Ticket prices are €17 for adults, €12 for students, €7 for children and free for children under the age of five (kulturpass holders can attend for €1.50).

Tickets for the 2026 edition are available via the event's official website.
