The Festival de Wiltz 2025 (Wiltz Festival) will take place from Friday 27 June until Sunday 20 July 2025.

The festival, which will be held in the amphitheatre in Wiltz, promises a diverse programme featuring Nouveau Cirque, dance, music and theatre - that “embraces diversity and delivers a high-quality programme”.

The festival line-up includes the Guinean acrobatic troupe Circus Baobab and their Nouveau Cirque production Yongoyely, Swedish-Argentinean indie star José González, flamenco dancer María Moreno with Yo Bailo, children's theatre play Der Grüffelo (The Gruffalo), fado icon Carminho, British rock band Skunk Anansie and German chanson-rockers Element of Crime. Festival artistic director, Marc Scheer, said: “I believe the diversity of the festival's programme reflects the diversity of the population of Wiltz. This festival shouldn't be reserved for a certain category of the population – it should offer something for everyone, without compromising on artistic quality.”

Marc Scheer added that the festival consciously follows its own path rather than competing with the country’s major venues, stating that “As part of our cultural mission, it is crucial for us to define our own identity. Of course it's a pleasure to host bands like Mando Diao, currently Skunk Anansie or German rock legends like Element of Crime. But what truly matters is a targeted programme that highlights Luxembourg’s cultural richness”.

The festival is described as not only providing a cultural platform, but also contributing to the cultural identity of the city of Wiltz: open, diverse and full of potential. Marc Scheer added: “As artistic director, it would mean a great deal to me if someone still remembers in 20 years what a special cultural experience – combined with a great time – they had in Wiltz.”

A food village will be located directly at the entrance area of the festival square and will open one hour prior to the start of each event.
