The City of Luxembourg (Ville de Luxembourg -VdL) has announced details of its celebration of the Fête de la Musique across four different open-air locations, on Friday 14 and Saturday 15 June 2024.
The four locations are the Place d'Armes, the Place de la Constitution, the Grand-Rue and the municipal park near the "Pirateschëff" (pirate ship) playground.
On Friday, the musical programme will start at the Place d’Armes between 15:00 and 20:15; the day will include a programme by CID Fraen an Gender from 18:00 to 23:00. At the Place de la Constitution, the day will kick off with Hiphop/Rap programming by Konektis from 17:15 and will continue with various musicians until 23:30. At the Grand-Rue, Jam Concept will provide entertainment from 21:00 - 23:00.
On Saturday, the programme will start at the Municipal Park (pirate ship playground) from 16:00 with a show for children aged four to nine. At the Place d’Armes, Conservatoire goes City will run from 10:20 to 21:40, ending with the Grand Evening Concert with the Luxembourg Chamber Orchestra and choir (300 seats available).
Other concerts will be offered on Friday14 June 2024 by various establishments with the support of the VdL: Mesa Verde (Rue du St Esprit), Gudde Wëllen (Place de Clairefontaine), Rock Solid (Place Hamilius), Rocas (Rue des Bains), Mirador (Altmünster parking lot), Renert (place Guillaume II), Urban + SO (corner on Rue de la Boucherie/rue du Marché-aux-Herbes), Konrad Cafe & Bar (Rue du Nord), Tube (Corner rue Sigefroi/rue du Rost).
In addition, concerts will take place on 15 and 16 June 2024 as follows:
• 15 June (14:00 - 17:00) and 16 June (13:00 - 18:00) at the Kockelscheuer, programming by “Natur & Ëmwelt”;
• 16 June 2024 (11:30 - 20:00) at the Place d’Armes, “Museksdag” of the Union Grand-Duc Adolphe (UGDA)
