For the first time in the history of Luxembourg rock, 3 Luxembourg groups will play at Eurosonic, the largest professional festival in Europe!
Eurosonic Noorderslag has become the largest conference and showcase festival in Europe, the main purpose of which is to facilitate meetings between artists and European festivals. Many groups have had international success after playing at Eurosonic: Rock-A-Field is a member of the network.
The first group selected is Rome. Since 2005 the "dark folk" project of Jerome Reuter has released over 10 albums and toured worldwide.
After performing at the Iceland Airwaves and the Reeperbahn Festival, When Airy Met Fairy will seduce the Eurosonic audience with its captivating melodies.
The third group who will defend the colours of the Grand Duchy on the stages of the Eurosonic is the most recognised metal band Luxembourg, Scarred. The group was selected by 100.7 radio in the framework of the EBU (European Broadcasting Union) network.
Each year a minimum of two Luxembourg bands play at Eurosonic through the 100.7 radio membership of the EBU network and music:LX from the ETEP (European Talent Exchange Program) programme. Under the ETEP network, music:LX sends a list of groups to the Eurosonic programmer and the festival selects the Luxembourg groups that will have the chance to perform in Groningen in The Netherlands.
