On Monday 18 December 2023, Luxembourg's Environmental Administration announced the launch of new online facilities that have been designed and developed to make it easier to apply for Klimabonus grants in relation to electric vehicles in the Grand Duchy.

With the aim to enable more efficient processing of requests for financial aid for electric vehicles from both private individuals and businesses, teams from the Environment Administration and the State Information Technology Centre (CTIE) have implemented two new online procedures in the context of the Klimabonus “Mobilitéit” scheme via MyGuichet.lu.

From today, it is possible to submit requests for financial aid for electric vehicles via MyGuichet.lu, making it possible, on the one hand, to facilitate the process for individual and professional applicants and, on the other hand, to automate processing in order to shorten delays.

These new approaches were preceded by the digitalisation of the Klimabonus “Wunnen” procedures, covering bicycles and electric bicycles in summer 2023, and for private charging stations in October 2022.

All of these online procedures now mark the complete digitalisation of the four main Klimabonus aid schemes.

Following the Government Council of 13 December 2023, the aid scheme for the promotion of sustainability, rational use of energy and renewable energies in the field of housing (Klimabonus Wunnen) and mobility (Klimabonus Mobilitéit), are being renewed until the end of June 2024.
