Eurosolar Lëtzebuerg has announced a call for nominations for the Luxembourg Solar Prize 2023 to reward innovative projects concerning the energy transition and renewable energy.

The solar prize will not only be aimed at photovoltaic projects, but will also include projects related to the energy transition, namely all sources of renewable energy available in Luxembourg (the sun, wind, water, biomass and green hydrogen).

The areas concerned are energy production, energy reduction or savings, distribution and storage, the development of materials contributing to the development or deployment as well as citizen and/or societal participation.

Innovative projects bringing added value or being of inspiring character are the main target.

The competition concerns projects that have been built or are nearing completion since 2021, and will be open from 1 April until 30 June 2023.

Eurosolar Lëtzebuerg announced that they are renaming projects in the following categories: cities/municipalities, utilities; solar architecture and urban development; industrial, commercial or agricultural enterprises/companies; local or regional associations/communities; media; transport systems; education and training; special prize for personal commitment.
