The Government of the United Kingdom announced today the appointment of Fleur Thomas as the next British Ambassador to Luxembourg.

Fleur Louise Thomas will succeed John Marshall as Her Britannic Majesty's Ambassador to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in April 2021. 

Since 2018, Ms Thomas has been Head of Exports, Security, Policy and Operations at the UK's Ministry of Defence, having previously served as Regional Director for Europe, Africa, Middle East, Central & South Asia and Head of Defence and Security Organisation at the Department for International Trade.

Earlier roles included Regional Director of the South East Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association (SERFCA), Managing Director of Forward Learning Technologies Ltd and Associate Lecturer and Consultant at the Open University. She was also cabin crew for British Airways from 1995 to 2002.

Current British Ambassador to Luxembourg John Marshall, who took up the role in April 2016, had extended his customary four-year appointment by one year.
