The Ministry of National Education, Children and Youth and the Service national de la Jeunesse (SNJ) have launched a call for applications from non-profit organisations, local authorities and informal youth groups for the 'Youth in Action' segment of the Erasmus+ programme.
This component is targeted towards young people and organisations working in the field of non-formal education, focusing on improving the key skills of participants on both a personal level and the level of their employability in the labour market. For the year 2016, the SNJ has been allocated a budget of around €1.7 million to distribute to organisations as the agency in charge of the national implementation of the programme.
The next deadlines to submit projects have been announced for 26 April 2016 and 4 October 2016. Erasmus+ allows for the financing of youth exchanges (aged 13 to 30), the European Voluntary Service (17-30) and exchanges between youth workers (at the professional or volunteering level).
