Friday 20 November 2015 will see the official launch of BEE CREATIVE, an initiative designed to promote digital literacy and technological creativity amongst young people in Luxembourg.
The BEE CREATIVE initiative aims to prepare young people for the challenges of a digital Luxembourg, encouraging young people towards technical tools and new media and promoting fresh creativity, talent and entrepreneurship in information and communication technology (ICT).
Securitymadein.lu, a partner in the initiative, will be present at its launch, where experts will host various activities including a drone-based obstacle course, where children will be divided into two groups and will control the drones through programming language; and a hack4kids experience, based on a dynamic game which will allow its young participants to understand the basic protocols of the Internet, to learn about network engineering, and to gain or enhance their experience of cryptography.
These activities have been designed for children aged 8 and above, and will be conducted in Luxembourgish and French. Additional information and registration can be found at www.bee-creative.lu.
The official BEE CREATIVE and its Makerspaces launch will take place from 08:00 to 18:00 on Friday 20 November 2015 at the Forum Geesseknäppchen.
