Luxembourg Ballet Asbl has announced it is organising performances of Georges Bizet’s Carmen at Artikuss in Soleuvre on Saturday 9 March and Sunday 10 March 2024.
The performances, directed and choreographed by Volha Kastsel, will bring together celebrated local talents and international artists such as Kateryna Floria, Artem Shoshyn, Denis Klimuk, Oleksii Potemkin, Victoria Tvardovskaya, Susanne Wessel, Alisha Leyder, Sofia Binetti, Carine Baccega, Laura Guessan, Oleksii Busko and Vira Kharchenko.
The famous Carmen by Georges Bizet arranged by Konstantin Yaskou, will explore the archetype of the femme fatale in a tumultuous tale about the power of love. Carmen is the protagonist of the eponymous novella by Prosper Mérimée and the opera by Georges Bizet. In Luxembourg Ballet’s interpretation, “[love] is the power that transcends epochs and never loses momentum”.
The performances will take place on Saturday 9 March 2024 from 20:00 to 21:10 and on Sunday 10 March 2024 from 17:00 to 18:10. The standard ticket price is €35. Tickets are available at the following website: https://fienta.com/carmen-090324.
