The Centre des Arts Pluriels Ettelbruck (CAPE) has announced that it is launching its 2022-23 season with a premiere of a Luxembourg Ballet production, "Don Juan", on Saturday 1 October 2022.

International ballet stars, such as Natalia Matsak, Honoured Artist of Ukraine and prima ballerina of the National Opera of Ukraine, and Sergii Kryvokon, principal dancer of the National Opera of Ukraine, will perform in this interpretation of Molière’s masterpiece "Don Juan". Two performances are scheduled: the premiere on Saturday 1 October at 20:00 and a second one on Sunday 1 October at 17:00.

First released in 1665, the story of Don Juan tells us about the last days of the life of a young aristocrat, notorious as a seducer of women, who rejects all social and religious norms in his love conquests. Molière's Don Juan remains one of the main characters of world literature since the 17th century. The Luxembourg Ballet interpretation by director and choreographer Volha Kastsel targets the two main impulses of contemporary Don Juanism: hedonism and the endless pursuit of the reproduction of happiness.

Tickets cost €31 (normal), €15.50 (young people under the age of 26) or €1.50 (Kulturpass) and can be reserved from CAPE via tel.: 2681-2681 or via email: billetterie@cape.lu. Tickets are also available online from Luxembourgticket.
