The opderschmelz cultural centre in Dudelange has announced two upcoming events: the premiere of Franco-Luxembourg company Eddi van Tsui's latest creation, "Ecological Anxiety Disorder", and a perfomance by Switzerland's Julie Campiche Quartet.

The Eddi van Tsui company will perform its new creation, co-produced with the Kulturfabrik, at opderschmelz (Grand Auditorium) on Thursday 18 March 2021 at 20:00.

Between travel account and mythology, Ecological Anxiety Disorder plunges the spectator into a dreamlike and surreal world, taking him / her on an expedition into a world apart, in the very heart of the 7th continent. A plastic continent made up of circular currents in the middle of the ocean. In this terrible relationship with the environment, the boundary between the illusory and the real becomes blurred: the ancestral fears of sea monsters, both frightening and fascinating, re-emerge as symptoms of a new pathology: eco-anxiety. Far from falling into moralising traps, this immersion in the abyss takes spectators on a fascinating scenic journey.

School performances are scheduled for 16 and 18 March 2021 at 10:00.

Pre-sale tickets cost €15 (plus fees) whilst box office tickets cost €20. Free entry with a Kulturpass. Reservations can be made via tel.: 516121-2942 or online at e-ticket.lu/fr/detail/7395.

The Julie Campiche Quartet will be playing at opderschmelz (Grand Auditorium) on Tuesday 23 March 2021 at 20:00, as part of the "We love Girrrls! 2021" festival.

Harpist Julie Campiche’s work is an on-going process of musical innovation. Through research and experimentation, she has developed the use of electronic effects that enhance the scope of her improvisational work. She has a very personal technique and her own musical language. Julie introduced her harp into the world of jazz and contemporary music in an organic way. She now performs in various European clubs and festivals on a regular basis. Through her innate curiosity and desire for new experiences, she plays with groups that have diverse instrumentation and esthetics. Be it theatre or contemporary performance, octets or duos, compositions or free-style improvisation, Julie infuses her music with an urgent fragility.

Pre-sale tickets cost €30 (plus fees) whilst box office tickets cost €40. Free entry with a Kulturpass. Reservations can be made via tel.: 516121-2942 or online at e-ticket.lu/fr/detail/7404.
