The Italian DaCru Dance Company is bringing its "Sakura Blues" urban dance fusion to the CAPE in Ettelbruck on Thursday 21 March 2019, from 20:00.

DaCru Dance Company, under the direction of choreographers Marisa Ragazzo and Omid Ighani, experiment with different dance styles from breakdance and hip-hop to JazzDance merged with theatre. Later this month, the ensemble will present Sakura Blues, a homage to the Japanese culture, in the CAPE cultural centre.

Sakura Blues is the third and final part of a trilogy that was created as a homage to both Japanese culture and to the mysterious nature of women from all over the world. With an innovative artistic language, thought of as anime, this production of DaCru is a loving, painful and ironic aberration through the secret souls of these women.

The DaCru Dance Company was founded in 1996 by the Italian choreographer Marisa Ragazzo and the Iranian dancer and choreographer Omid Ihani and is one of the most representative companies of the urban dance scene in Europe. Together with their dancers, Marisa Ragazzo and Omid Ighani experiment with the fusion of languages and styles to create a new dance-narrative style, a kind of "dance novel".

Tickets cost €26 or €13 for under 26s. Reservations should be made via tel.: +35226812681 or via email: billetterie@cape.lu.
