The ASBL Uphill Challenge non-profit association has announced that it is organising the 2nd annual cycling charity event entitled "Uphill Challenge – Ride for Charity" on Sunday 23 July 2017, between 11:00 and 14:00, in collaboration with the “Fondation Kim Kirchen” and the ACC Contern and l’Hirondelle Schuttrange cycling clubs.
The aim of the event is to climb the 236 m hill (1.1km course) at Charly’s Gare in Hostert (Niederanven) as fast and as many times as possible in 3 hours, and to raise as much money as possible for a worthy cause.
The 2016 event included more than 150 participants and managed to raise donations of €8,000 for the “Make a Wish” foundation. This year the event will be held in aid of Alupse which specialises in the prevention of child abuse and the promotion of parent-child ties.
The event’s organisation is being organised with the support of Trustmoore, Inside and Nvision.
