The Mierscher Theater (Mersch Theatre) announced that it will present two contemporary dance performances, UNFOLDED MOMENTS and INLET, on Wednesday 21 October 2026 at 20:00 in Mersch.

The performances will take place as part of the Movement Art International Dance Festival. UNFOLDED MOMENTS is a production by Kristýna Peldová and Enya Belak from Slovenia, while INLET is a work by Saeed Hani, created in Germany, Luxembourg and Syria.

Saeed Hani, Artistic Director of the Movement Art International Dance Festival, explained why he chose to present UNFOLDED MOMENTS and INLET together in a single evening: "I find it interesting to place these two works together because, although they have different artistic languages, I see a meaningful dialogue between them."

Created by Kristýna Peldová and Enya Belak, UNFOLDED MOMENTS traces moments of personal crisis and portrays how one navigates selfhood through inner struggles. Through movement and video projections, the creators play with contrasts between visible and invisible, transparency and subtlety. The performance captures the sensation of a scattered mind in its desperate search for focus and peace. The dance unfolds between the manifested and unmanifested, in a place of duality between dark and light.

According to Saeed Hani, when he started to develop INLET, he asked himself what walls do to people. Inspired by the legend of Romulus and Remus and the symbolic meaning of Rome's city walls, he began exploring the meaning of borders throughout human history – not only the physical borders separating countries, but also the invisible walls people build around themselves and between one another.

The result is a dance performance that was nominated for The List Festival Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2025. Hani explained that the performance is accessible to everyone: "You don't need to know anything about dance to experience the piece. There is no conventional story that you have to follow or a single message you must understand. Instead, movement, music, light, and space create an experience that you can feel and interpret through your own life."

UNFOLDED MOMENTS has a duration of 50 minutes, while INLET lasts 55 minutes.

Seating is unreserved, with tickets priced at €25 (€16 for students).

Tickets are available through Luxembourg Ticket or directly from Mierscher Theater.
