The European Heritage Days are set to return from Friday 27 September to Sunday 6 October 2024, with several events taking place throughout Europe - including Luxembourg.

This year's European Heritage Days centre around the shared theme of "Routes, Networks and Connections".

The Luxembourg programme includes projects such as:

- "Historical Knots" by Ina Isabelle Schiltz at the Château de Bourglinster (on display daily in the Annexes);

- "Common Scenery" at Casino Luxembourg on 28 September (15:00-19:00) and 29 September (11:00-19:00);

- screenings of the short documentary film Luxembourg in America (in English) by Festival Events asbl at Ciné Utopia (Luxembourg-Limpertsberg) and Kinoler (Kahler) respectively on 27 September (19:00) and 30 September (20:00);

- "Liberation Route & World War II" by Luxembourg City Tourist Office (LCTO) in Luxembourg-Ville on 28 September (14:00);

- "Whisper of Roses" by LUCODA Luxembourg Collective of Dance in the garden of Grand-Château d'Ansembourg on 29 September (16:00);

- Heritage Day ("Journée du patrimoine") by the Mullerthal regional tourist office (ORT) in Schengen on 5 October (15:00-17:00).

Launched in 1985 and held every September, the European Heritage Days take place in countries party to the European Cultural Convention. One of the main aims is to raise awareness about the cultural diversity of Europe.
