First international cricket tournament in Luxembourg

This will be the first ever multi-team international cricket tournament in Luxembourg, and it will be played using the all-action T20 format. The Luxembourg national team comes into this tournament following good results against these two opponents in recent tournaments, and home advantage should also favour the Red Lions.

National team vice captain Tony Whiteman said: "Our squad has been performing well at club level, and if we take this form into the international tournament we will have a good chance of success. It is important that we do well, not least as this will help us in our application to play in official tournaments organised by the game’s governing body, the International Cricket Council (ICC)."

Spectators can find the ground at rue de l'Alzette, L-7210 Walferdange. Plenty of parking is available and the ground is also easily accessible by train (Walferdange Gare) and buses 11, 282 and 290, and the train.
