Nearly 100 Luxembourg organisations mobilised on Tuesday to celebrate diversity and inclusion for the sixth edition of Diversity Day, organised by IMS (Inspiring More Sustainability) Luxembourg.
An international event, the annual Diversity Day invites players from all horizons to launch initiatives to illustrate their commitment to diversity through various activities.
This year, Corinne Cahen, Luxembourg's Minister of Family Affairs, Integration and the Greater Region and Sponsor of the Diversity Charter Lëtzebuerg, visited seven organisations, both in person and virtually, to praise their actions and encourage them to continue to act in favour of diversity and inclusion.
The day also marked the 10th official signing session of the Lëtzebuerg Diversity Charter, which added 26 new members to its network. The Diversity Charter now has more than 200 signatories in the Grand Duchy. The new signatories are: Aberdeen Standard Investments Luxembourg; Advanzia Bank; Association des Banques et Banquiers, Luxembourg (ABBL); Association for Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI); ArcelorMittal Belval & Differdange; Bunker Palace; CFL - Société nationale des chemins de fer luxembourgeois; CHAMP Cargosystems; Clearstream; Confédération Luxembourgeoise du Commerce (CLC); Dupont de Nemours; Ergo Life; Felten & Associés; Fiducial Office Solutions; Groupement Montessori Luxembourg; HITEC Luxembourg; Keter Luxembourg; LuxCSD; Nordea Investment Fund; NTT Nippon Telegraph and Telecom; Payconiq International; Société Européenne des Satellites (SES); Silver Holdings; Banque et Caisse d'Épargne de l'État (BCEE / Spuerkeess); Talkwalker; and Voyages Emile Weber.
The virtual signing session closed with a speech by Dr. Emilia Roig, Founder and Director of the Center for Intersectional Justice in Berlin on the benefits of intersectionality in the workplace.
