The Engelshaishen creche in Colmar-Berg has presented a cheque worth €1,440 to SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde for their work in Syria.

On the occasion of an Open Doors event, the Engelshaishen creche in Colmar-Berg collected the money for the SOS emergency aid programme in Syria.

At the cheque presentation, Eva-Maria Schmid of SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde thanked all those who participated in this wonderful solidarity action, the team of the creche, children and their parents.

Last September, for the first time, the Engelshaischen creche organised an Open Doors event to which they invited Eva-Maria Schmid, responsible for development education at SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde. During an evening barbecue, interested parents could learn about emergency aid of SOS in Syria. The proceeds from the evening, supplemented by a donation from the creche, will be assigned to this important programme towards children and families in distress in a country ravaged by war.
