On Friday 4 December 2015, two Luxembourg organisations were each presented with a cheque for €2,000 by Cardif Lux Vie.

The insurance company was represented by Head of Retail & Corporate Solutions, Mathieu Vialette, who bestowed a cheque for €2,000 each to Veerle Dierick of Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner, and Patrick Gouden, on behald of charity Le Rêve du Petit Prince.

The cheque ceremony followed a decision taken by the Cardif Lux Vie Employee Benefits department to replace traditional Christmas gifts with donations in support of Luxembourg charities, actively immersing the insurance company in the social life of the country.

The Fondatioun Kriibskrank Kanner has been supporting families of children suffering from cancer and other rare and potentially fatal diseases for the last 25 years. Its actions involve offering help and moral support for these children and their families, assisting research projects to combat childhood cancer and carrying out awareness-raising campaigns.

The Le Rêve du Petit Prince association also takes seriously ill children under its wing and arranges dolphin therapy for children with behavioural difficulties, including autism or Down's syndrome. In this way, the children are encouraged to open up and see their wildest dreams come true.
