The Fédération des Acteurs du Secteur Social au Luxembourg (FEDAS) has announced that it will hold the third edition of Social Sector Day (Journée du Secteur Social) on Tuesday 17 March 2026 at the Coque National Sports and Culture Centre in Luxembourg-Kirchberg, from 09:00 to 16:00.
Under this year’s theme, “When artificial intelligence meets the social sector: towards responsible and ethical transformation”, the event aims to gather professionals, students and members of the public interested in the challenges and developments of the social sector.
This edition will highlight the links between artificial intelligence (AI) and social practices. Throughout the day, conferences and discussions will explore AI’s challenges, opportunities and impact on the social sector.
Alongside the conferences, social sector organisations will host information stands, allowing visitors to discover the diversity of organisations in the sector and the professional opportunities available.
This initiative particularly targets students, people registered with the ADEM employment agency and anyone wishing to discover careers in the social sector. It aims to raise awareness of on-the-ground realities and to inspire vocations, while also helping, as far as possible, to address current staff shortages in the sector, noted FEDAS.
Visitors who wish only to browse the stands may access the event freely, without prior registration.
