Cercle Cité in Luxembourg-Ville has announced it will host a lecture on photography featuring art historian, art consultant and co-founder of Ts'Art, Stéphanie Breydel de Groeninghe, and president of the European Month of Photography (EMOP) network and co-director of EMOP Luxembourg, Paul di Felice, on Tuesday 17 June 2025 at 11:45.
According to the organisers, the event, which will be held in the Ratskeller at the Cercle Cité on Place d'Armes, will provide “an opportunity for an enriching reflection on photography, its meaning and its essence” and will address a number of questions relating to topics such as photography in the modern age, the over-saturation of the medium, the challenges of new technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) and the role of photographers today.
The lecture will be preceded by a guided tour of the exhibition “Rethinking Photography: Presence/Absence, Visible/Invisible”, curated by Paul di Felice.
The event will conclude with a small reception featuring refreshments.
