On Tuesday 6 May 2025 at 09:45, the 2025 European Platform Meeting for Quality Label Youth Centres and Friends will take place at the Marienthal Youth Centre (Rue de Keispelt, L-7411 Helperknapp), in the presence of Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg.

The event, undertaken as part of the Luxembourg Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, is co-organised by the Council of Europe Youth Department and the Luxembourg National Youth Service (SNJ), under the patronage of the Luxembourg Presidency of the Committee of Ministers. It will feature speeches by Luxembourg’s Minister of Education, Children and Youth, Claude Meisch, Director for Democracy at the Council of Europe, Matjaž Gruden, Chair of the Steering Committee for Youth, Miriam Teuma, and Member of the Advisory Council on Youth, Jessy Jónsdóttir.

Since 2008, the Quality Label of the Council of Europe has been awarded to youth centres that fulfil standards of youth work and international cooperation. The European Platform Meeting for Quality Label Youth Centres promotes collaboration among youth centres in Europe. The Council of Europe organises the event each year and youth centres with the Quality Label - as well as those applying for the recognition - come together to share knowledge and best practices in promoting the Council of Europe values of human rights, democracy and the rule of law. This year’s event, which includes a broader audience beyond the existing network, will allow youth centres and their partners to discuss the need for quality spaces that are developed with and for young people.
