Luxembourg’s Ministry of Digitalisation has reported that around 100 representatives of associations and organisations active in the field of digital inclusion attended the 5th edition of the Interdisciplinary Forum on Digital Inclusion, held in Colmar-Berg on Monday 2 December 2024.

The forum programme included the presentation of the study “Digital Inclusion. An analysis of the situation in Luxembourg” by the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) and a presentation by the Office for Monitoring the Accessibility of Products and Services (OSAPS). In addition, the Ministry of Digitalisation provided an update on the National Action Plan for Digital Inclusion. Based on the final assessment and recent developments in the field of digital technologies, the Action Plan will be revised in 2025.

The second part of the forum programme consisted of a round table, focused on cybersecurity, online risks and the means necessary to protect populations that are far removed from digital technology. Participants in the round table included panellists of the GoldenMe association, BEE SECURE, the Grand Ducal Police and the Ministry of the Economy.

Luxembourg’s Minister of Digitalisation, Stéphanie Obertin, thanked the participants in this forum for their commitment to the digital inclusion of people who are furthest removed from digital technology. In her speech, she also took stock of the ministry's actions in this area and announced the launch of the ministry's 2025 call for projects, to fund projects promoting digital inclusion. In 2022, 2023 and 2024, the ministry financially supported eighteen such projects.
