The Vegan Society Luxembourg has announced that the International Animal Rights Conference will once again take place at the Kulturfabrik in Esch-sur-Alzette from Thursday 5 to Sunday 8 September 2024.

Speakers and participants from around the world will gather to discuss aspects of animal ethics and the human-animal relationship in society during this four-day event.

The conference will begin on Thursday at noon (12:00). International speakers include those coming from Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Guatemala, Ghana, Ireland, India, Italy, Mexico, the Netherlands, Romania, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and the US. About 300 participants are expected to attend in person in Luxembourg, with more set to join online.

The programme consists of presentations, workshops, discussions, reports and documentary screenings. The speakers have diverse backgrounds, including in animal rights activism, academia, philosophy, sociology, ethics, legal, educational and other fields. The conference will be held in English.

During the conference, vegan meals will be served. Information stalls from animal rights organisations and vegan shops will also be a part of the event.
