Biodiversity, while essential for the well-being of humans and the planet, is currently facing serious threats. The loss of biodiversity could have significant consequences for the economy, as more than half of the world’s total GDP depends moderately or highly on nature and its services, the organisers stressed.

Private equity firms can reduce the risks and negative impacts of biodiversity loss by integrating biodiversity considerations into their investment decisions and operations. Furthermore, they can reap the benefits and opportunities of biodiversity-positive actions.
